Winner of the 2009 Canadian National Playwrighting Award and starring award-winning actress, Elena Juatco, this powerful solo show was “A Must See” at last year’s Vancouver Fringe Festival.
My Lucky Penny Productions returns from its successful debut at the Vancouver Fringe Festival to bring you winner of the 2009 Canadian National Playwrighting Competition starring Jessie Award winner and Dora Nominated actress, Elena Juatco. In this powerful solo show, we meet Emma, a 15 year-old girl with a wild imagination who recounts her first experiences with boys, sex, and most importantly her relationship with her mother, Dianne. Written by 3-time Canadian National Playwrighting Competition winner, Ron Fromstein, and directed by Luke Brown, Artistic Associate of Theatre Aquarius.
“One of the best examples of a solid performance and story ... I see something in this production that is not bound to the stage. It is performed by someone who is bound for great things and, I think, deserves it. This play deserves to be Pick of the Fringe. See it.”– Shane Birley, Plank Magazine.
