About Kristina:

Kristina Troske is an artist and mother of four. Her practice is informed by a background in theatre, dance, and social work. In 2017, she completed a Diploma (DESS) in Contemporary Puppet Theatre at Université du Québec à Montréal, a formative experience that confirmed her interest in puppetry, both in performance and construction. Since then, she has collaborated with numerous Montreal-based artists and companies,  including multidisciplinary artist Nathalie Derome (Des mots d’la dynamite). In March 2025, she was invited to design giant puppets for the 20th anniversary of the Casteliers Festival, in response to the theme of urban wildlife. In July 2025, she also participated as a puppeteer in the international climate initiative The Herds in Stockholm, a collective project raising awareness of the climate crisis through the arts. With Ausgang Collective, Kristina completed her first creation and production for young audiences, L’amour te reviendra, which explores our need to connect with nature. The production premiered at Montreal’s Petits Bonheurs Festival in May 2022 and toured to Senegal and Iqaluit in 2024. She is currently a performer and puppeteer in Le passage secret by Des mots d’la dynamite, a theatre production for young audiences using shadow theatre, for which she designed and built the puppets. At the same time, she is developing her new creation, Nous sommes tout, an installation and performance for preschool-aged children. Kristina is currently taking courses toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Concordia University, for fun!

"We wish to honour the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Wendat, and the Neutral Nation who are the traditional custodians of the land upon which we stand and the waters that flow through it. It is our privilege to share this land, which has been the site of imagination since the beginning of human experience.

Hermione Presents ~ SpringWorks is located on land governed by both the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant of 1701 and the Huron Tract Treaty of 1827. We are mindful of broken covenants and the need for us to respectfully listen, to learn from our mutual history and to strive continuously for reconciliation at all levels.

The responsibility to nurture this land and protect the future falls to us all and in so doing, we actively honour the wisdom of those who came before us."
