Using simple techniques, convert a shoe box into your own micrco-shadow puppet theatre! Fun craft project for all ages. Make shadow puppets and play with lighting techniques to tell thrilling stories. You can bring your own shoebox. All other materials will be on hand. (We will scout some options for shoeboxes as well)

About Eileen:
Eileen Smith is the current chair of Ontario Puppetry Association & sits on the board of UNIMA (Union Internationale De La Marionnette) Canada and on the UNIMA North America Commission. She sits with the Mayor of Stratford as a member of the AVIAMA international association of puppet friendly cities. A professional performer, educator, producer with decades of experience including the Stratford, Shaw, Charlottetown, & Drayton Festivals, Eileen has been producing in Stratford and area for 25+ years.
Personal puppetry training includes: Worlds of Puppets with Bernd Ogrodnik (full 5 year program), Eugene O'Neill National Puppetry Conference (online workshops), 16 years as international delegate at Casteliers International Festival, 3 time international delegate at FIAMS. Canadian delegate to Puppets in the Green Mountains International Festival in Vermont and to the Festival of Wonder in Denmark. Ex-officio board member & founder of HPSWF. Acts as Executive Director & General Manager
About Stephen:
Stephen is thrilled to be on board with Here for Now Theatre as set, lighting and sound designer. Stephen has more than 600 production credits across Canada over the past 35 years; his theatre design credits include Stratford Festival, Drayton Entertainment, National Arts Centre, Native Earth Performing Arts and Neptune Theatre. Credits in Stratford include resident lighting designer for INNERchamber, set and lighting designer for Alternative Theatre Works where credits include lighting for The Wind in the Willows, set and lighting for The Bear, Yalta Game, Afterplay, Jewel, and A Tender Thing. In addition to creating multiple set designs for Off the Wall at Factory 163, Stephen has been the technical director for SpringWorks over the past 15 years and was the designer/technical director for the International Children's Festival held in Stratford in 2016. Stephen has taught in various technical theatre programmes including The Performing Arts Prep Program at Sheridan College, Humber College and Fanshawe College. Stephen resides in Stratford with his wife, singer/songwriter Pamela Jane Gerrand.
