Company:

2017

Studio Babette
Artists:
Kerry Panavas

Told on a multi-functional set, with 13 hand-made table-top rod puppets, From Ruthven to Passchendaele is the compelling story of one family's sacrifice in “the Great War”, a sacrifice made by so many Canadians in the CEF, the Canadian Expeditionary Force. See their journey, from the green meadows of Ontario, to the muck and mire of Passchendaele, to the antiseptic solace of the hospitals in England. Music, shadow play, sound and light effects and detailed props all make viewing this play with puppets a unique opportunity to experience Canadian history up close.
