The Lazy Man's Guide to Ghost Music

Larissa Hikel

An alienated musician communicates with whispers from his past, trying to pull himself out of a depression and free his potential, without leaving his basement apartment. Darren is in a state of denial, paralyzed by unacknowledged grief at the loss of his family to suicide and addiction. He insists he is fine, but finds it impossible to function or even leave his couch. When voices both alive and dead begin to communicate with him via rotary phone, he is forced to confront his history. Using his art, and the support of the audience, he takes a first tentative steps into an unknown future.
